A Warren County man was recently arrested in Barren County and charged with growing marijuana and possession of methamphetamine.
Scotty Deel, 51, of Bowling Green, was arrested in Barren County on May 18 where methamphetamine and a handgun were allegedly in his possession, according to a state police press release. His residence in Warren County had been searched by Kentucky State Police after receiving information about possible drug activity. At Deel’s home, state police allegedly found 106 marijuana plants, paraphernalia, a digital scale and multiple firearms.
In Barren County, he is charged with first degree trafficking in a controlled substance, first offense. In Warren County, Deel is charged with cultivating marijuana (5 or more plants), first offense, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
He was lodged in the Warren County Regional Jail, but has since been released on bond.
The investigation is ongoing and is being led by Trooper Slate Dalton.
