The Caverna Independent Board of Education will consider the district’s proposed tax rates for the 2026-27 fiscal year and review changes to its nonresident student transfer registration form when it meets Thursday.

The board is scheduled to convene at 5 p.m. at the Caverna Central Office on U.S. 31-W in Cave City.

Among the meeting’s action items, board members will be asked to approve the district’s proposed tax rates for the upcoming fiscal year. Specific rates are expected to be presented during the meeting.

The board will also consider approving Certified Evaluation Assurances, an annual requirement affirming the district’s compliance with Kentucky’s certified employee evaluation system.

Members are also expected to approve Change Order No. 001 for the district’s current roofing project. Details regarding the change order were not included in the agenda.

Another item on the agenda calls for the board to review Procedure 09.12 AP.21, which Superintendent Amanda Abell said pertains to the district’s nonresident student transfer registration form.

The meeting will also include the superintendent’s report, public comment and approval of several consent agenda items.
