James Edward Smith, 79 of Horse Cave, KY. passed away August 4, 2026 at his residence. Mr. Smith was born in Indianapolis, IN to the late James and Evelyn Doris Gross Smith. he was retired from Sumitomo Electric having been a machine operator.
Survivors include two sons Wesley Smith-(Debra) and Donnie Smith, sisters Judy Wilson-(Barry) and Janet Smith along with 7 grandchildren: Emmalee, Christopher, Bethany, Josh,Tyler, Brittany, and Hunter. Several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephew from Indiana and Tennessee.
Mr. Smith is preceded in death besides his parents his daughter Kristie Marie Smith, brothers Jerry, Gary and Larry Smith.
Cremation was chosen and under the direction of the Hatcher and Saddler Funeral; Home.
