Tony Higdon, age 61 of Cave City, departed this life on Monday, December 29, 2025 at his residence. The Barren County native was born on June 21, 1964 to Rose Ann Higdon and the late Hershel Thomas Higdon. He was married to his loving wife, Kennetha Hay Higdon, who survives.
Tony retired as a mechanic from his family business, Higdon Service Center, where he dedicated decades to serving his community with skill and integrity. He was a true jack of all trades whose capable hands could repair anything. Tony was a dedicated member of The Place Worship Center, a sacred place where his faith was continually renewed and where he found his deepest peace and purpose. In his spare time, he enjoyed playing a competitive hand of poker with dear friends and the thrill of watching sports, cheering passionately for his UK Wildcats and Dallas Cowboys. His enthusiasm was infectious, and his presence at any gathering brought warmth and joy to those around him.
Besides his wife and mother, Kennetha and Rose Ann, he is survived by his children, Brooke Craine (Michael), Tyler Craine (Jennifer) and Andrea; step-father, Glendal Miles; son-in-law, Chris Longley; grandchildren, Raylen Longley, Staley Craine, Angel Craine and Kayley Craine; sister, Gwen Higdon; nephew, Matthew Key and fur babies, Toby, Struggle D., Willow, Charlie, Monkey, Alex, Allie and Tyson.
Funeral services for Tony Higdon will be held at 2 PM Sunday, January 4, 2026 at the Patton Funeral Home Cave City Chapel with interment will be in Cave City Cemetery. Visitation from 2 to 7PM Saturday and 10 AM to 2 PM, Sunday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
