CAMPTON, Ky. (August 30, 2023) – A Kentucky woman is dead following an accident in Wolfe County.
Around 4:45pm on August 29the, Kentucky State Police in Morehead received a call for assistance from the Wolfe County Dispatch regarding a three-vehicle collision. The collision happened on Kentucky 9009 near the 49-mile marker.
Investigators determined that Kennedy Lambert, 20, of Campton, was driving a 2009 Honda. Lambert crossed the center line, striking a 2023 Freightliner commercial vehicle, driven by Ernest Fields, 37, of Hephzibah, Georgia.
Gregory Cielak, 54, of Wyoming, Ohio, who was driving a 2020 Chevy Equinox, then struck the Freightliner.
The Wolfe County Coroner pronounced Kennedy Lambert dead. Gregory Cielak was transported to Morgan County ARH Hospital for treatment of his injuries.
Kentucky State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement, Wolfe County Sheriff’s Department, Wolfe County Coroner’s Office, Wolfe County EMS, and Wolfe County Fire and Rescue assisted KSP at the scene.
KSP Morehead is continuing the investigation.
