Barren County Schools will be inducting new members into its Hall of Distinguished Honor.
The 18th annual induction ceremony, hosted by the Barren County Alumni Association and the Barren County Education Foundation, will be at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 3, in the Barren County High School auditorium, according to a press release from the school district.
“The Hall of Distinguished Honor recognizes alumni who have made significant contributions through leadership, service, and dedication to their professions, communities, and Barren County Schools,” the press release states.
The Class of 2026 inductees include: Dr. Donald Colliver, Hiseville High School, Class of 1970; Casey Wood Hensley, Barren County High School, Class of 1993; Dr. Spencer Larkin, Barren County High School, Class of 2006; and Brad Ward, Barren County High School, Class of 1985.
A meet and greet will take place before the ceremony at 2 p.m, and the program “will also include scholarship recognition for Barren County students, highlighting the continued investment in future generations through alumni and foundation support.”
“This annual event celebrates the strong tradition of excellence across Barren County Schools and honors individuals whose achievements reflect positively on Barren County Schools and the community,” the press release states.
Jimmy Lowe, a 1967 graduate of Temple Hill School, will also be honored with the Lifetime Achievement Award “in recognition of his decades of service in education and his lasting impact on students and the community.”
