Jane Florence Otto Kerry, 90, of Glasgow, formerly of Ocala, FL, died October 22, 2021 at NHC Nursing Home in Glasgow. She was born in1931 to Elmer C. Otto and Florence Jefford Otto. She grew up in downtown Philly during The Great Depression. She graduated from Temple University in 1953, and taught health and physical education in Philadelphia City schools. She married George Fred Kerry in January, 1954. She was an avid crafter and especially loved knitting, crocheting, embroidery, and plastic canvas art. She loved traveling with George through all 50 states of the USA, aswell as Canada, England, Ireland, Scotland, Switzerland, and Germany. After George’s retirement, they moved to Florida where they lived until his passing in 2013. She then moved to Kentucky to be closer to family for the last 8 years. She is survived by her daughter Lynne Kerry Pierce of Glasgow and son Ron Kerry(Kathy) of Rochester Hills, MI; six grandchildren, Tim Pierce (Karen) and Dr. KristiPierce of Glasgow, Mike Kerry (Lindsay) of Michigan, Jeff Pierce of Bowling Green, KY, Jim Kerry (Kelly) and Beth Kerry of Michigan four great-grandsons with a fifth expected in four weeks, along with several nieces and nephews. At her request, there will be a family graveside service held at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery Central in Radcliff, KY at a future date. In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be sent to The American Cancer Society in memory of Jane Kerry. A.F. Crow and son Funeral home is assisting the family.
