Elmer Hollis Smalling Harp, 77, of Scottsville, KY passed away Sunday, October 17, 2021 at his residence. The Scottsville, KY native was a farmer, former employee of Chaney’s Dairy Farm, Marvin Wood Lumber Company, Woodmaster, Scotscraft, General Electric, Jones Painting, Sumitomo and an Allen County Deputy Jailer. He was a U. S. Army veteran and attended East Willow Church of God, Calvary Mission and Well of Living Hope. He was a son of the late Martin Harp and Lassie Bell Smalling and husband of the late Joetta Berry Harp.
He is survived by 2 sons: Greg Harp, Scottsville, KY and Wayne Harp and wife, Connie, Glasgow, KY;
3 daughters: Brenda Ritter and husband, Tony; Melisha Willoughby and husband, Jason and Melissa Davis and husband, James, all of Scottsville, KY;
A brother-in-law: Glenn Cooper, Scottsville, KY;
9 grandchildren: Craig Harp, Kala Ritter, Gracie “May” Ritter, Ciara Gregory, Nathan Burnley, Ethan Davis, Braylin Wright, Peyton Davis and Jaxson Wright;
1 great grandson: Carson Harp.
He was preceded in death by a brother: Ivy Glen Mesker and 3 sisters: Estell Harrison, Sylvia Cooper and Phyllis Ford.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Danny Patrick and Bro. Randy Sloan officiating and burial in Crescent Hill Cemetery with military honors by Glasgow DAV Chapter 20. Visitation will be 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Friday and after 7:00 a.m. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
