Brance Thompson, age 39 of Alvaton, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2021,at his home.Brance was born on October 11, 1981, in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, he was theson of Jerry Frank and Vivian Ann Nevins Thompson, of Tompkinville.Brance was a social worker. He had a BSW in Social Work Clinician 2. He wasthe Chief of his Adult Protective Services Unit in Warren County. Brancewas raised in Tompkinsville Church of Christ and was currently a member ofAlvaton Church of Christ. He loved reading his bible, leatherwork, andmaking furniture. He was a jokester and an avid University of Tennesseefan. Brance loved spending time with his family and his dog, Maddy Bear,but especially loved being with his daughter. In addition to his parents, he is survived by his wife, Drema MurphyThompson; a daughter, Paisley Dawn Thompson; a maternal grandmother, JeanNevins of Tompkinsville; mother and father in-law, Dwight and Donna Murphyof Liberty; sister in-law, Tiffany (Ronnie) Sharp of Liberty; grandmotherin-law, Phyllis Lyons of Campbellsville; niece, Lily Nicole Sharp; nephew,Ryan Levi Sharp; and a host of aunts, uncles, and additional family.Brance is preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Robert Ray Nevins;paternal grandparents, Jess Frank and Clara Thompson; and grandparentsin-law, Lawrence Sonny Lyons, and Don and Matrie Pendleton. The funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. EST on Tuesday, October 12,2021, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Bro. Kenny Spaw officiating.Burial will follow in Poplar Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 10, 2021, from 12:30P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at Bartley and Sons Funeral Home in Tompkinsville. Asecond visitation will be held on Monday, October 11, 2021, from 5:00 P.M.to 9:00 P.M. at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
