Glasgow News 1

The Glasgow Rotary Club is now accepting applications for its annual nonprofit donation program.

The donations are intended to support nonprofits and community groups that are making a meaningful impact for local residents. The application period runs from May 11 through June 15.

“We are proud to invest in initiatives that strengthen our community and create lasting positive change,” said Jamie McFarlin, President of the Glasgow Rotary Club. “Opening this application process allows us to partner with local leaders and organizations working to make a difference.”

Eligible recipients are nonprofit organizations in Barren County that are in good standing with the Kentucky Secretary of State.

Groups must submit a completed application and required documentation showing how the donated funds will benefit a specific project that serves the community.

Donated funds are available in amounts up to $1,500 per application.

Applications are available on the Rotary Club’s Facebook page and at this link Rotary Non-Profit Donation Application

Paper applications are also available at the club’s weekly Thursday meetings, held at noon at the T.J. Health Pavilion Community Room.

Selected recipients will be notified by July 15. A date will be scheduled to publicly recognize and award the recipients at an upcoming Rotary meeting. These annual donations are made possible through the club’s fall Rotary Auction fundraiser.

The program is intended to align with the Rotary motto of “Service above Self” by directing funds to local causes and projects that directly benefit Barren County residents.
