James Dale Albritten, Jr., Glasgow

James Dale “Jim” Albritten Jr., age 68, passed away peacefully on August 26, 2026. He was born on October 17, 1957, to the late Nancy Augusta Albritten and James Dale Albritten Sr.

Jim was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and brother who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. He was married to the love of his life, Cynthia Lynne Albritten, for 14 years. Together, they made their home in Glasgow, Kentucky, where they shared many cherished memories.

Jim was the proud father of Danielle Muruschak, James Dale Albritten III, James David Albritten, Jessica Albritten Snodgrass, and Andrew Reid, all of whom survive him. He was also a beloved grandfather to his 12 grandchildren, who brought great joy and pride to his life.

Jim had a strong entrepreneurial spirit and was the owner of Kentucky Treasures and Flealand in Bowling Green, Kentucky, for 10 years. He was well known for his appreciation of history and unique treasures. One of his greatest passions was collecting authentic Native American artifacts, a hobby that reflected his deep appreciation for the past and the stories held within each piece.

In addition to his wife, children, and grandchildren, Jim is survived by his sister, Jaymie Albritten Simmons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Nancy Augusta Albritten and James Dale Albritten Sr.; and his brothers, Joe Albritten and Andrew Albritten.

Jim leaves behind a legacy of love, family, friendship, and a lifelong appreciation for history and the treasures of the past. His memory will live on through his wife, children, grandchildren, sister, and the many people whose lives he touched throughout his years.
