Gary Wayne George, 55 of Edmonton, KY passed away Monday, May 25, 2026, at his residence. He was born January 21,1971, to the late Phillip and Betty Robertson George. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Tammie Roy and special friend David Fields.
Gary George was a man of many talents. If something was broken, he could fix it. He loved to cook, work on anything with a motor, and never hesitated to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He also loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time outside whenever he could. One of his greatest joys was taking his three dogs Blue, Pearl, and Willie for their daily rides.
Gary loved his family and friends with all his heart. He was the kind of friend everyone hoped to have, he truly was one in a million. He loved each of his children and grandchildren deeply, and they meant the world to him.
He is survived by his wife Anne Saltsman George of Edmonton, children Holley George, Sarah George, Taylor (Brianna) Brown, Nathaniel (Miranda) Pierce, Nicolas Pierce and Aiden Harris, five grandchildren Layla, Oliver, Mason, Liam and Benson, siblings Becky (Kenny) Dixon, Ricky (Sandy) George, Randy George, Greg (Tara) George and Timmy (Renee) George, brothers-in-law Pete (Rose) Saltsman, Cam (Shelly) Saltsman and Tim Roy, special friends Charley Capshaw, Matt Firkins, Tony and Treasa Barton, Jared Blythe and Cameron Barton, and great nephew Jase Blythe. He was also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
His absence leaves a void that can never be filled, and he will be missed more than words could ever express. Please keep his children, family, and friends in your prayers as they try to navigate this incredibly difficult time.
