Hazel Sanders, age 66, of Cave City, passed away on Wednesday, January 21, 2026, at the Medical Center of Bowling Green. She worked as a housekeeper at Signature Healthcare of Hart County for over 30 years. Hazel loved to watch her grandkids play sports, watching Louisville Basketball, and spending time with her family. She was known for her sassy, but loving nature.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Depp Smith, and Eva Mae Bennett Smith; two sisters, Janet Hornback, and Kitty Smith.
She is survived by two children, Lacie Sanders, and Terry Sanders (Stephanie); four grandchildren, Shawn Allen Winchester (Katlyn), Kaylee Ann Sanders, Hayley Elizabeth Sanders, and John Travis Page; three brothers, Steven Smith, David Smith (Debbie), and Clark Smith; one sister, Linda Smith Minor.
Funeral Services will be held at Winn Funeral Home, on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, at 1:00PM. Burial will follow the service at the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Winn Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 2:00PM to 8:00PM, and will continue after 9:00AM on Wednesday until the time of the service at 1:00PM.
