On Saturday, August 21, the Glasgow Police Department conducted a traffic stop that leads to two people being arrested for drug-related charges.
Sgt. Hicks conducted the stop and made contact with the driver identified as Lauren Overfelt and detected a strong odor of Marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Sgt. Hicks conducted field sobriety tests and determined that Overfelt was impaired.
Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and located Marijuana, Oxycodone and Alprazolam.

Lauren M. Overfelt of Hart County was arrested and charged with:
– Reckless Driving
– Improperly On Left Side Of Road
– Operating Motor Vehicle Under Influence Substance 2nd (Agg Cir)
– Driving DUI Suspended
– Possession Of Marijuana
– Possession Drug Paraphernalia
– 1st Degree Possession Control Substance, 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified)
– Illegal Possession Of Legend Drug
– Possession Control Substance 3rd Degree-Drug, Unspecified

A passenger identified as Ryneisha M. Whitlow of Glasgow Ky., was arrested and charged with:
– 1st Degree Possession Control Substance, 1st Offense (Drug Unspecified)
– Illegal Possession Of Legends Drug
– Possession Of Drug Paraphernalia
– Prescription Control Substance Not In Proper Container, 1st Offense
– Possession Of Marijuana
– Public Intoxication Control Substance
– Display Or Poss Of Cancelled Or Fictitious Operator License.
