Editor’s note: This story formerly described a mandatory sentence of 14 days, which is required by law for all DUI second offense charges. The verbiage was removed due to the confusion associated with it.
The prosecution in this case has recommended a five year sentence, which will run concurrent with the misdemeanor charge. The 14 days of incarceration is associated with the DUI charge and must be served regardless of other sentencing details. WCLU News regrets this error.
