Glasgow has now had its own radio station for 75 years! On September 25th of 1946 WKAY took to the airwaves in a rare start up of a radio station post World War II. A large crowd attended the formal ceremony which was held near the base of the tower at 510 Happy Valley Road. Back then known as Cave City Highway. All week long on “The Archives” which airs at 6:40 am we will recall a snippet of the history of the station in its 75 year history. We will also post some photos online of events surrounding the beginning of WKAY!!!
