Stella Wood Elmore, 93, of Scottsville, KY passed away Tuesday at the Medical Center at Scottsville. The Barren County, KY native was a homemaker, former babysitter and member of Cedar Cross Missionary Baptist Church for over 75 years. She was a daughter of the late Hayden Stokley “Bud” Wood and Maria Dawn Lewis Wood and wife of the late Charles Ewell Elmore.
She is survived by 1 brother: Willie Wood, Indianapolis, IN;
3 grandchildren: Christal Jones; Chris Elmore and wife, Ina and Jesse Elmore and wife, Benita, all of Scottsville, KY;
7 great grandchildren: Spencer King, Bailey King, Caden Elmore, Ty Elmore, Logan Elmore, Cole Charlton and Marlee Charlton;
3 great great grandchildren: Hunter Blake King, Raylee King and Rylan King and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by 1 son: Terry Elmore; 1 daughter: Sherrill Elmore Tabor; 2 sisters: Polly Land and Patty Turk; 5 brothers: Cecil Wood, Lee Wood, Rondil Wood, Ray Wood and Stanley Wood.
Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home with Bro. Robby Calvert officiating and burial in Cedar Cross Cemetery. Visitation will be after 10:00 A.M. Thursday at Goad Funeral Home. Expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to the Alzheimer’s Association. Donations may be made at Goad Funeral Home.
