GLASGOW, Ky. — A vehicle owned by T.J. Samson Community Hospital was stolen Saturday.
Glasgow Police responded to the hospital in reference to a disturbance complaint. Officers made contact with hospital security staff and were advised two male subject had been belligerent with staff.
Officers identified the two suspects as Daniel J. Taylor, 36, and Edward F. Kiper, 31, both of Louisville. Police confirmed they had suspended operator’s licenses.
Taylor and Kiper apparently arrived at the hospital in a vehicle with a small trailer. The vehicle had been stolen from Green County.
Several children were left at the hospital, and the two stole a vehicle owned by the T.J. Samson Hospital. The vehicle was later discovered empty along West Main Street.
Taylor was discovered hiding in a creek bed. Kiper was found a short time later along West Liberty Street.
The children were unharmed and were released to a family member, police said.
Taylor and Kiper face similar charges, including receiving stolen property (under $10,000), theft by unlawful taking or disposition (auto – $500 or more but under $10,000), third degree criminal mischief and first degree fleeing or evading police (on foot).
Taylor faces additional charges, including four counts of abandonment of a minor, second degree disorderly conduct, third degree assault (peace officer – non-communicable bodily fluid) and third degree terroristic threatening.
