Cody Ryan Johnson Sorrell, 33, Park City, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026. Cody had worked as a mason in the construction industry. He loved spending time with his family; building things; and especially woodworking. He attended the Lighthouse Church in Horse Cave.
Survivors include two children: Skyler Sorrell and Shay Sorrell both of Mt. Sterling; his fiancée Amber Thompson; his mother, Vickie Lykins (Wayne) of Frankfort; his grandmother Brenda Johnson Harper (Clyde) of Park City; two brothers: Brandon Johnson (Ashley) of Mt. Sterling and Dereck Lykins (Brandi) of Carlisle, KY; three sisters: Bandi Johnson (Brandon) and Alexis Meeks (Austin) both of Mt. Sterling, and Madison Lykins of Frankfort; one aunt, Tonya “TonTon” Ratliff (Phillip) of Mt. Sterling; one uncle, Gene Johnson of Mt. Sterling; his beloved canine companion, King; along with several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by one uncle, Michael Johnson.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home with burial in the Lighthouse Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 4:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
