A Scottsville man remains in Hart County jail Tuesday morning after his car crashed into a house in Horse Cave on Friday.
Chase Webb, 34, was allegedly the driver of a 2015 Black Malibu that was found fully inside a house off West Main Street in downtown Horse Cave.
Kentucky State Police allege Webb smelled strongly of alcoholic beverages when they contacted him after the crash. Webb was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
Investigators say they found open vodka containers and narcotics inside the vehicle.
Authorities say Webb was taken by emergency medical services to Caverna Memorial Hospital for evaluation and treatment following the crash.
While at the hospital, Webb allegedly made verbal threats toward law enforcement.
After receiving medical clearance, Webb was transported to the Hart County Detention Center, where he remained Tuesday morning on a $25,000 cash bond.
Webb faces numerous charges, including operating a vehicle under the influence of a controlled substance, fourth or greater offense, and first-degree criminal mischief. Both are Class D felonies.
He is also charged with third-degree assault of a peace officer involving communicable bodily fluid, a Class C felony, reckless driving and failure to wear a seat belt.
Additional charges include failure of owner to maintain required insurance or security, second offense, possession of an open alcoholic beverage container in a motor vehicle, third-degree terroristic threatening and second-degree disorderly conduct.
