The Glasgow man charged with sexual abuse entered into a guilty plea in Barren County Circuit Court to an amended charge of sexual misconduct, and was sentenced to two years of supervised probation.

Frank Defilippo pleaded guilty to the amended charge of sexual misconduct Thursday, Jan. 8. As part of the plea agreement a tampering with evidence charge was dismissed while the original first-degree sexual abuse charge was downgraded to sexual misconduct — which changed the charge from a class D felony to a class A misdemeanor.

He received a 12-month sentence with which the commonwealth agreed to two years of supervised probation instead of jail time. In addition to the probation, Defilippo will “undergo a cognitive behavioral therapy assessment” and have no contact with the female, according to his plea agreement.

There is also $500 worth of fines and costs listed as part of Defilippo’s plea.

Defilippo was arrested by Glasgow police on Jan. 16, 2025, after an investigation discovered he had sent a juvenile inappropriate text messages and “groped her breast.”
