Rhonda Lynn Guidry, Elizabethtown

Rhonda Lynn Guidry, age 55 of Elizabethtown, passed away on Sunday, October 5, 2025. Rhonda was saved at Concord Missionary Baptist Church at the young age of 9.  Rhonda loved deeply and was always up for an adventure.  She loved to travel, spend time with her friends and family, and make the most out of life.  She was an instrumental part of numerous people’s lives.  She was an educator by profession and at heart.  She was a teacher of many things.  Rhonda shaped the minds of kindergartners for the last 26 plus years at Carter Traditional Elementary School. She taught others outside the classroom many valuable lessons in life in regards to standing up for yourself, trying new things, and speaking your mind.

Rhonda is survived by her three children, her stepdaughter, Alex and Jake Howard of Louisville; daughter, Morgan Guidry (Joe) of Port St. Lucie, Florida and son Jake Guidry of Lawton, Oklahoma; grandchildren,  Adalyn and JP;  her mother, Betty Jean Smith of Munfordville; her siblings, David Smith (Stephanie) of Horse Cave and Marcie Britain (Daron) of Elizabethtown; and her beloved nieces and nephews, Jared, Lynlee, Allie, Sawyer and Ivy.

She was preceded by her father Paul H. Smith and honorary sister Kara Jo Smith.

The funeral service for Rhonda Lynn Guidry will be held at 2pm CST Saturday in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with Bro. Terry Priddy officiating.  Burial will be in the Brackett Cemetery at Upton.

Visitation  will be Friday from 12-8pm CST and Saturday from 8am-2pm at the Sego Funeral Home.

Rhonda’s legacy lives on in the lives she touched.  She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
