Save A Lot is preparing to move its longtime Glasgow store from downtown to a new location on the east side of town.
The grocery, which has operated at 400 South Green Street in downtown Glasgow since Sept. 28, 1994, will relocate to 742 E. Main St., the former site of a Houchens IGA.
The move is scheduled to become effective June 3. Barren Inc will host a ribbon cutting on that day at 2 p.m.
The Houchens store on East Main closed Feb. 8. A sign on the window stated there was a remodel of the store underway. Now, the Save A Lot sign hangs on the store front. Houchens Food Group is the parent company for Save A Lot and Houchens IGA.

Houchens Food Group operates additional grocery locations in Glasgow, including stores on Houchens stores on Happy Valley Road and at South Gate Plaza.
A Save A Lot location in Cave City also remains open.
