Randy Kenneth Rumbel, 65, Hardyville, passed away Friday, October 3, 2025, at home with his wife Debra.
Randy was a native of Pennsylvania. He served in the US Army in Fort Knox Kentucky, where he met his wife. He married Debra Sue (Robertson) on 6 June 1980, Buffalo, Larue County, Kentucky. He moved his Wife and 2 sons to Pennsylvania in 1983; They worked and lived in Pennsylvania until 2004 when He and his wife moved back to Kentucky and built a new home. He and his wife team drove tractor trailer from east to west coast for more than 20 years They were married 45 years. They worked together most of their married life, until cancer took him off the road in June 2024.
Randy fought Stage 4 Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer that metastasized to his brain and bones and finally also ending up in his spine, He was also battling Stage 5 Kidney failure.
He fought a Courageous battle and always had a positive attitude that he was going to beat this cancer. He was admired and loved by family and friends. HE WILL BE LOVED AND MISSED BY ALL WHO KNEW HIM!
Born 5 December 1959 in Shenandoah Heights, Schulkill County, Pennsylvania, to Kenneth Guy Rumbel, Hamburg, Pennsylvania and the late Phylis Matilda (Shoup) Morgans.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Debra Sue (Robertson) Rumbel, Hardyville; his two sons Michael Wayne Rumbel and his wife Amber, Dunlap, Tn and Anthony Wayne Rumbel, Shoemakersville, Pa; grandchildren, Amanda Taylor Randolph, Arkansas, Anthony Rumbel, Indiana, Keon Rumbel, Vos Rumbel, Dunlap, Tennessee; 2 Great Grandchildren, Liam Greyson Carter of Ratcliff, Arkansas and Elena Jeannine Marie of Ratcliff, Arkansas; Parents, Kenneth Guy Rumbel, of Hamburg, Pennsylvania and Phylis Matilda (Shoup) Morgans deceased on 3 October 2015. And Stepmother Carol Louise (Lorah); Brother, Jerry Lee Rumbel (Sandra), Hecla, Pa, Glenn Arthur Rumbel (Deborah), Shartlesville, Pa, Todd Allen Rumbel (Michele), Hamburg, Pa, Cy Morgans (Carolyn), Ringtown, Pa; Sister, Eva Morgans and several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends
Honoring Randy’s wishes, cremation was chosen. There will be a Celebration Of Life at Christmas this year on 24 December 2025 at their home, 157 Fairview Church Pascal Road, Hardyville, Kentucky.
