Ephrian Taylor Wilson, age 85, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky passed away peacefully on Monday, September 29, 2025, at the Monroe County Medical Center. Taylor was born in Monroe County, on March 13, 1940, a son of the late Enna Belle (Walker) and Mose Thomas Wilson. Taylor retired from the Highway Department and was a farmer for most of his life. He was a faithful member of Old Temple Hill Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Lydia Belle (Rouse) Wilson; one sister, Brenda Hire, of Camby, Indiana; two sisters-in-law, Mary Wilson of Tompkinsville, and Mary Nell Wilson, of Beaumont, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Mervin, Charles, Kelly, and Freddie Wilson, and two sisters, Glaydell Scott, and Runell Pruitt.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at Bartley & Sons Funeral Home, with burial to follow in The Wilson-Basil Cemetery. Bro. Terry Jackson will officiate the services.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. and again on Wednesday morning after 8:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m.
Pallbearers: Wayne Wilson, Jamie Muse, Stevie Joe Wilson, Brian Froedge, Timmy Proffitt, Larry Wilson and Joe Moody
Honorary Pallbearers: Mark Wilson, Dr. Hume, Dr. Anderson, Dayton Birdwell, Jerry Page, Tom Froedge, Wayne Graves, Todd Clay, and Leroy Strode.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old Temple Hill Baptist Church or to the Wilson Basil Cemetery.
