Ralph Thomas King, Tompkinsville

Ralph Thomas King, 63, of Tompkinsville, Kentucky died Friday, September 19, 2025 at his home. Thomas was born in Tompkinsville on January 21, 1962, a son of Bessie Yvonne (Rhoton) King, of Tompkinsville and the late Ralph Wesley King of Tompkinsville.

Thomas graduated from Tompkinsville High School in 1980. Thomas married the love of his life of 36 years, Denita Ann Walker King at the First Baptist Church of Ashland Alabama on August 5, 1989. He was a Senior Draftsman at Stephens Manufacturing in Tompkinsville, KY for 45 years and he cherished his work family. Thomas was baptized at Flippin Church of Christ in Flippin, KY and attended First Baptist Church Of Tompkinsville, KY, faithfully.

Thomas loved the Lord, his family, and music. He loved playing the guitar, mandolin, and picking the banjo. One of his fondest memories was when he sang and played music with his two brothers in The King Brothers’ Band. Thomas was an avid UK fan who enjoyed spending quality time with his family. Thomas had a heart for serving others and he will be deeply missed.

Along with his mother, Thomas is survived by his wife, Denita Walker King of Tompkinsville; two daughters, Kristin Ann King, of Campbellsville, Kentucky and Alexis King Simpson, of Brownsville, Kentucky; two brothers, Kermit King and wife Rhonda of Monticello, Kentucky, Keith King and wife Virginia of Tompkinsville, Kentucky; a brother in law, Anthony Walker of Pelham, Alabama, and a mother in law, Annie Maude Saxon of Ashland, Alabama.

Along with his father, Thomas is preceded in death by father in laws, Levis Walker and William F. Saxon.

Public visitation will be held 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM on Monday, September 22, 2025 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, Kentucky. Public visitation will be held 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville.

Funeral service will be held 1:00 PM on Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at Yokley Trible Funeral Home in Tompkinsville, KY with John Osgatharp and Bro. Deven Smith officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for all donations to be made to either the First Baptist Church of Tompkinsville or to the First Baptist Church of Tompkinsville WMU Backpack Program.
