Anthony (Tony) Wayne Garrett, Glasgow, formerly of Summer Shade, passed away Thursday, October 1, 2020 at N H C Health Care. Born June 12, 1965 in Glasgow, he was a son of the late Paul and Mary Garrett.
He was a heavy equipment operator and of the Methodist faith.
Survivors include one son, Mcshane Garrett, Summer Shade; one daughter Mahagony (Derek) Staples, Glasgow; two sisters Rendy ( Ronnie Joe) Perkins, Glasgow and Marketta Acree, Glasgow; three brothers, Steve (Sandy) Garrett, Bowling Green, Mark (Alicia) Garrett, Summer Shade and Kenny (Sheryl) Garrett, Mt Hermon; two grandchildren, Ellie Kay and Stone Staples; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death, besides his parents, were two brothers, Robbie and Mike Garrett.
Visitation will be Saturday, October 3, 2020, 3:00- 8:00 P.M.- Sunday, October 4, 2020, 8:00 A.M.-1:00 P.M at McMurtrey Funeral Home. A private immediate family funeral will be held, with burial in the Summer Shade Cemetery. Brother Darrick Proffitt will be officiating.
