Ronald Stephen “Ronnie” Butler, 68, of Tompkinsville, KY, passed away on Thursday, October 17 at Bowling Green Medical Center surrounded by his family.
Ronnie was born on September 1, 1956, in Tompkinsville, KY, a son of the late Josh and Ruby Dell (Howard) Butler.
On August 5, 1974, he married Pam Emberton at Rockbridge Baptist Church.
Ronnie had worked at Houchens Industries, Beldon Wire and Cable and as a custodian at Monroe County High School. Ronnie will be remembered for his work that he put in for the school system. He was a member at Tompkinsville First Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Pam Butler; sons, Brandon Butler, of Tompkinsville, KY and Bronson Butler, and wife, Megan of Mooresville, IN; five grandchildren, Lily, Addyson, Dakota, Dixie, and Duke.
Also surviving is his brother, Chris Butler of Alabama and sister, Charlotte Cramm of Sparta, TN.
Other than his parents, he is preceded in death by a brother, Robert Anthony Butler.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21, at 1:00 p.m. at the Monroe County High School Gymnasium, burial to follow at Monroe County Memorial Lawn. John Osgatharp and John Petett will officiate the service.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20 from 1-6 p.m. at Yokley Trible Funeral Home. On Monday morning visitation will be held at Monroe County High School Gymnasium after 10:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, donation in Ronnie’s memory may be made to the Monroe County Athletic Department.
