Mammoth Cave National Park and The Hive Coffee and Bakehouse are finalists in the annual Best in Kentucky awards.

Mammoth Cave National Park, which spans roughly 53,000 acres and partly extends into Barren County, is in the top three in the road trip, place for adventure and hiking trail categories.

The Hive, which is located in the old Morris building on the Glasgow Public Square, is a finalist in the coffee shop category. It will compete against Vibe Coffee in Elizabethtown/Hodgenville and Harden Coffee in Campbellsville.

“Kentucky Living, the state’s most widely circulated publication, showcases the people, places and experiences that shape life across the commonwealth,” said Shannon Brock, the magazine’s editor. “Best in Kentucky is a celebration of all the things our readers love most, from hidden gems to longtime favorites across every corner of the state.”

Voting for winners will begin on May 1 and conclude on May 31. Winners will be announced during the Best in Kentucky Awards Show on Aug. 19  and will also be showcased in the September issue of Kentucky Living, both in print and on KentuckyLiving.com.

Voting will take place on KentuckyLiving.com
