Nannie Elizabeth “Liz” Britt

Nannie Elizabeth “Liz” Britt was born December 11, 1934, in Bowling Green, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Finis Clark and Nannie Strange Clark. She was a 1952 graduate of State Street High School and was of the Baptist faith. For many years, Liz, as everyone called her was a domestic worker, housekeeper and nanny for numerous families. She enjoyed playing cards, and her yard was a flower garden of beauty. “Muh”, as all her grandchildren called her, loved spending time with them. The laughter and smiles they shared will forever reside in their hearts. The love Liz had for her husband of 66 years, the late Welmon “June” Britt, was priceless. The stories that can be told, the memories that can be shared, Liz Britt will forever be a part of the lives of so many.

On Sunday morning, September 15, 2024, Liz slept in the arms of a loving Savior as she joined along with her husband and parents; grandson, Dominique Britt; brothers and sisters, Finis Clark, Herschel Clark, Leslie Clark, Elzie Clark, Joseph Clark, Robert Clark, Marguerine Grooms, Marguerite White, Deanie Beason, Katie Golden and Louise Travis.

To cherish the loving memory of Nannie Elizabeth Britt, she leaves her children, Michael Britt, Kevin “Wayne” Britt, Felicia (Scottie) Starks, Marcia (Steve) Dye, Carmen (Chris) Jewell and Andrea Britt; grandchildren, Torrez, Nikki, Tasha, Junie, Josh, Tiara, Ashley, Steven, Christopher, Lacresha, Amy, and Ruby; great grand-children, Andreana, DeAndre, Lyric, Dez, DeLicia, Taylor, DeKorian, Ashlynn, Jonah, Josiah, Ty’Keim, Kadence, King, Ezra, JeLeigha, JeKilynne, and Kamree; great-great-grandchildren, Sayla, Khylin, and Kairo; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
