Cardale Kirk, Tompkinsville

Cardale Kirk “Dirty Red” or “Kirk” was born April 16, 1958 in Tompkinsville, Kentucky, to the late Hattie Irene Murrell and the late Carson Edward Kirk. After a rapid illness Cardale departed this earth on August 05, 2026 at his home.

Cardale attended public schools in Monroe County. Cardale was very funny, a dancer, and a Golden Glove boxer. Most importantly he was a man of God. Cardale was an employee at WKU before he retired. Cardale had a passion for his children, shooting pool, and dancing. He was a jack of all trades. He loved going to church and helping as much as he could. He confessed Christ at Seventh Street Baptist Church.

Cardale was preceded in death by his father Carson Edward Kirk, and his mother Hattie Irene Murrell, his three sisters: Kathleen Kirk, Aline Morrison, and Betty Kirk; a niece Lateshia Kirk, and a nephew William “Voodoo” Kirk, and two great nieces.

Cardale leaves to cherish his sweet memories to his children: LaTorya Kirk (Louisville, KY), Sanchez Kirk (Courtney) (Glasgow, KY), Salissa Kirk, (Bowling Green, KY), and a sister Gloria Kirk. Seven grandchildren: Zharion, Adriana, Draper, Zashawn, Kendrick, Tyler, A’Kila. A very special friend, Lisa Howard. His favorite nieces Kimberly Brown, Marcella Kirk-Joseph, Felica Allen, and Brandy Kirk-Stewart.

Funeral will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday August 17, 2026, at Seventh Street Baptist Church, 1101 Fair Street Bowling Green, KY., with burial in the Glasgow Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held 9:00 A.M to 10:30 A.M. at Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home, then after 12:00 p.m. at the Seventh Street Baptist Church until time of service.
