Dorothy “Dot” Parker, age 97, of Horse Cave, passed away on Sunday, July 12, 2026, at Signature Healthcare of Hart County. She was a native of Chattanooga, TN. Dot worked various jobs after moving to Horse Cave, and retired from Budget Host as the Housekeeping Supervisor. She was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband, James T. Parker; her parents, Jink Black, and Pearl Davis Black; special nephew who she raised, Mark Bennett; three siblings, Jack Black, Joe Black, and Beulah Smith.
She is survived by several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and nephews; a host of friends; special friend and caretaker, Gada Denton.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:30PM CST on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Winn Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at the Horse Cave Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 15, 2026, at Winn Funeral Home, from 10:00AM CST until the time of the service at 2:30PM.
