Terry Meredith, Bee Spring

Jun 30, 2026 | 9:17 AM

Terry Meredith, age 73, of Bee Spring, peacefully departed this life on Thursday, June 25, 2026, at Edmonson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brownsville. The Edmonson County native was born on May 11, 1953, to the late Layman Meredith and Edna Mae Meredith Goff.

Terry worked for many years as a lineman with Pike Electric and later with Davis Elliott. An outdoorsman through and through, Terry found his greatest enjoyment in the simple pleasures of life. Whether he was hunting in the woods or casting a line on a quiet fishing trip, he was happiest surrounded by nature and God’s beautiful creations. In his younger years while growing up in Kyrock, he was an accomplished athlete who loved playing basketball and baseball. A naturally gifted left-handed pitcher, he was admired for his talent and competitive spirit.

More than anything, Terry loved his family. His daughter was his pride and joy, and he treasured every opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren. The love he had for them was evident, and the memories they shared will forever be held close to their hearts. Most importantly, he was saved in his younger years, and was a member of Cedar Grove Baptist Church.

He leaves to cherish his memory— his loving and devoted daughter and caregiver, Terri Meredith of Bee Spring; his treasured grandchildren, Eva Jean Epley and Asher Drake Jones; his siblings, Vickie Marlow of Louisville, Bro. R.L. Meredith of Bee Spring, and Yolanda Vincent (James) of Bee Spring; along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends who will miss him dearly. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved siblings and lifelong friends, Ollie Evelyn Hayes, Timmie Meredith, and Michael Meredith.

Visitation will be 11 AM—2 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel. Funeral Service will be 2 PM, Tuesday, June 30, 2026 at Patton Funeral Home Brownsville Chapel.
