Jun 30, 2026 | 1:55 PM

Naomi Ruth Nole, lovingly known to all as Ruth, returned to the loving arms of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ 06/28/2026. Leaving behind a legacy of unwavering faith, unconditional love, and a family forever shaped by her strength and love. Born 09/08/1946 in Temple Hill, Kentucky, Ruth made her home in Bowling Green, Kentucky, where she devoted her life to caring for her family. She found immense joy in working with children and especially treasured the opportunity to substitute teach at the schools where her grandchildren attended. Whether in the classroom or at home, she had a remarkable gift for making people feel encouraged, and capable.

A devoted follower of Jesus, Ruth lived her faith through the way she loved others. She believed fiercely in her family, often seeing their potential long before they could see it themselves. She was a constant source of encouragement, always reminding those she loved to keep a positive mindset and never give up. She was quick to pray for you and even quicker to remind you that you were her son/daughter/grandchild and could do anything that you set your mind to. Her faith, strength, and unwavering love became an anchor for everyone fortunate enough to know her.

Ruth was the heart of her family. She had a special gift for bringing everyone together, creating a home filled with laughter, love, and cherished memories. Nothing made her happier than having her family gathered in one place. She loved fiercely, had the best wit and comebacks and an even greater laugh. In her free time, Ruth loved to write. She filled notebooks and pages with funny, imaginative stories inspired by the adventures and everyday moments of her family. Her quick wit and wonderful sense of humor brought smiles to countless faces, and her stories will remain treasured reminders of the joy she found in the people she loved most. Spending time out with family on the farm watching the hummingbirds, chasing butterflies and talking about life were just a few of the treasured memories she leaves behind. Though her family grieves her absence, they are deeply grateful for the example she set—a life rooted in faith, compassion, resilience, and love. Her influence will continue to live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, friends, and all whose lives she touched.

Ruth’s legacy is not only found in the memories she leaves behind but also in the lives she strengthened, the faith she shared, and the love she poured so freely into everyone around her. She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and joyfully remembered. We love you forever and then some. Ruth is reunited with her sister Linda Spear Goad, her brothers Harold Spear and Glenn Spear and her parents Carl and Leona Spear. She leaves behind her husband, Charles Jerry Nole; son Jerry David Nole (Penny Nole); daughter Tonya Nole Shepard (Jeff Shepard), grandchildren Emily Nole Knott (Jordan Knott), Nathan Nole, Hannah Shepard, Abby Nole, Rheaonna Breeding (Wyatt Breeding), Jenna Shepard, Ellie Nole, Jaxson Shepard; and great-granddaughter Chloé Noelle Knott.
