Dennis Mitchell Martin, Glasgow

Dennis Mitchell Martin,  64  of Glasgow passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 28, 2025, at  Hospice of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green, Kentucky. He was born on August 6, 1961, in Glasgow, Kentucky and was a beloved figure in his community.

Dennis dedicated several years of his life to a fulfilling career as a cable and telephone splicer. His skill and expertise in this field were evident, as he diligently worked to ensure connectivity for many individuals in his area.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Dennis had a profound love for the great outdoors, particularly fishing. Known as a Jack of all trades, he often spent weekends imparting his mechanical skills to friends and family, consistently finding joy in working on cars. Yet, above all, it was the time spent with loved ones that brought him the greatest happiness.

Dennis is survived by his devoted mother, Glenda McDonald Proctor, and his loving wife, Emily Smith;  stepdaughter, Natalie Colliersmith (Jessica), will forever cherish the memories they created together; grandchildren, Robert Darding, Lilly Darding, and Jordan Samuel Johnson, who will hold dear the moments shared with him;  sister, Vickie Martin, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins who were touched by his kindness and spirit.

While he is deeply missed, his memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.

Dennis is preceded in death by his father, Harold Mitchell Martin; his stepfather, Johnny Proctor; his daughter, Gelynn Martin, and his sister, Penny Martin. Their absence is felt deeply, but they remain forever in the hearts of those who knew them.

The family has honored Dennis’s wishes with cremation under the direction of A.F. Crow and Son Funeral home with burial at Caney Fork Cemetery, Friday, January 2, 2025, at 12 p.m.

Memorial contributions can be made to Hospice of Southern Kentucky in honor of Dennis.

Dennis Mitchell Martin will be remembered as a man of integrity, humor, and a gentle soul who cherished every moment with his family and friends. His legacy of love and passion for life will continue to inspire those he leaves behind.
