James E. Howard, 71, Glasgow, passed away Thursday, December 18, 2025 at the T J Samson Community Hospital. A native of Barren County, he was a son of the late Hardin and Cassie Franklin Howard. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Ollie Franklin.
James was a loving and sweet man that never met a stranger. He loved being with his family and friends to worship at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. James was retired from the maintenance department of the T J Samson Community Hospital with many years of respected service.
Survivors include his wife Mayme; three sons, Christopher, Robert, and Anthony; two daughters, Melissa Spearman and Janie Williams; two brothers, Charles Howard (Janice) and Eston Howard; five sisters, Wanda Howard, Carolyn Carter, Libby Dice, Janice Allen, and Janice Bradley (Danny); and a host of nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 27, 2025 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses on Trojan Trail in Glasgow. Hatcher & Saddler Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
