Betty Thompson Sullivan, Scottsville

Betty Thompson Sullivan, 73, of Scottsville, died Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at the Medical Center at Bowling Green.  Betty was a retired employee of General Electric, former employee of Carpenter-Dent and Smarty Shop Restaurant and a member of Red Hill General Baptist Church where she served as Sunday school clerk. She was a daughter of the late Lester Edgar Thompson and Wavie Genetta Williams Thompson.

She is survived by her husband, David Sullivan; 1 son, Bruce Carver  and wife Lindsey of  Bowling Green; 1 daughter, Brandy Carver, of Scottsville; 1 step son,  Joseph Sullivan  and wife Brandi of  Scottsville; 1 step daughter, Emmy Willoughby of Glasgow; 2 brother, Malcolm Thompson  and wife Patty and Oscar Thompson, all of Scottsville; 3 sisters, Gladys Yates, Wanda Martin and husband Eugene and Linda Herrington and husband Richard Lynn all of Scottsville; 1 brother-in-law, Delane Dyer of  Scottsville; 4 grandchildren, Sara Rivera (Alex), Corey Cundiff, Katelyn Carver and Bradley Carver;  2 great grandchildren and 1 unborn great grandchild; 4 step grandchildren, 10 step great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by 2 brothers, infant, Fred James Thompson and Earl Thompson; 1 sister, Becky Dyer; 1 sister-in-law, Gail Thompson and 1 brother-in-law, Elree Yates.

Funeral services for  Betty Thompson Sullivan will be 11:00AM Saturday, December 20, 2025 at Goad Funeral Home with burial in Red Hill Cemetery.  Visitation will be 2:00 to 8:00 PM Friday and after 7:00 AM. Saturday until funeral time at Goad Funeral Home.
