The Glasgow Band, Kentucky Just Us, performed the national anthem and The Oaktree Shade during the ceremony. The group recently won the fans’ choice group of the year award during the 2025 Josie Music Awards at the Grand Ole Opry. Michael Crimmins/Glasgow News 1

Lt. Col. Jason Simpson served as the main speaker for the Veterans Day program at the South Central Kentucky Cultural Center. He spoke briefly about the sacrifice of service and encouraged attendees to aid their community veterans. Among his other accolades, he is the Mobilization Readiness Officer at the Joint Force Headquarters Kentucky National Guard. Michael Crimmins/Glasgow News 1
