Teresa Joan Poynter Johnson

Teresa Joan Poynter Johnson, 67 of Glasgow, passed away Wednesday, December 15, 2021at her residence. Teresa was born in Glasgow on March 14, 1954, to the late William “Bill” Poynter and Flora Bell “June” Sherfey Poynter. In her early years, she worked at the Mammoth Cave Garment Factory, Summer Shade Sewing Factory, and most recently a professional painter with her spouse, Junior Johnson, for over 20 years.

Survivors include two sons, Jonathan Holley (Roberta), and Chris Holley (Amanda); three grandsons, Christopher Holley (Tiffany Peden), Cody Holley, and Nathaniel Gossett; five great grandchildren, Cayden Holley, Jaxon Holley, Peyton Merritt, Lillian Holley, and Dakota McGinnis; sister, Connie Wilson; brother, Carlos Poynter (Carol); several special nieces and nephews, and special friends, Beverly Gossett, Carolyn Wilborn, and Diane McGuire also survive.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, whom she married in 1981, Harmon Hall Johnson, Jr., and a brother-in-law, Stanley Wilson.

Graveside service will be held 3:00pm Saturday, December 18th at the Cave City Cemetery with burial to follow the service. A.F. Crow & Son Funeral Home is honored to be entrusted with the care of Mrs. Johnson. Please share your condolence with the family at www.crowfuneralhome.com.
