Philip Lewis, 77, of Naples, Florida, passed peacefully on February 18, 2022.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 56 years, Barbara; his two daughters, Anne Angstrom (Carl) and Betsy Harned (Jeff); his grandchildren, Wells Harned, Colin Angstrom and Catherine Angstrom. He is also survived by his brothers, Dr. John McGee, Henry Lewis, Gerry Lewis, Glen Lewis, Tom Lewis, and a sister, Caroline Ennis.
Phil began his career doing what he really loved: advertising and play-by-play radio sports broadcasting. Phil attended Murray State University and Western Kentucky University where he was a member of Sigma Chi fraternity. After a career in broadcasting, he was the owner of a successful ice manufacturing company in Kentucky. After retiring at an early age and relocating to Naples, Florida, he enjoyed a real estate career, but more so, the conversations he could start up with the clients he met. Between frequent trips to Disney World and cruising in the Caribbean, he was happiest golfing, cheering on the Kentucky Wildcats, cooking, and being with family, including his beloved dog, Murphy. Phil was quick to smile, even quicker with his wit, and loved to share his Southern charm. He was an active member of the Naples Church of Christ and a member of Naples Heritage Golf and Country Club where he and Barbara cherished the friendships they had built over the last 25 years.
A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
