Dustin J. Ols, 29, was arrested early Monday, Jan. 24, after a deputy with the Barren County Sheriff’s Office noticed a car parked in the grass along Scottsville Road in Barren County.

GLASGOW — A car full of narcotics was discovered early Monday morning by the Barren County Sheriff’s Office.
A deputy traveling along Scottsville Road noticed the silver passenger car in the grass beside the southbound lane. The vehicle was facing north, according to a citation.
The deputy completed a welfare check on the vehicle and discovered 29-year-old Dustin J. Ols. He was inside the vehicle.
A deputy searched the vehicle after he noticed needles inside a black backpack in the passenger seat. The search yielded the discovery of heroin, methamphetamine, multiple pills identified as suboxone and Xanax, and marijuana.
Ols was arrested early Monday on drug related charges including two counts of first degree possession of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana and buying or possessing drug paraphernalia.
He was lodged at the Barren County Detention Center.
