Vera Gladys Avery age 94 of Canmer passed away Saturday, August 7th at her home. She was born in the Stockholm community of Edmonson County to the late Charles Elbert & Donna Wilkins Meredith.
Ms. Avery was the wife of the late Clarence Avery and she was a member of the Whickerville Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by two sons Leslie & Timothy “Timmy” Avery and five daughters Mary & Fannie Asbury, Shirley Stinson, Donna Sue Sanders & Marcella Avery.
She is survived by six sons-Danny Avery(Linda) of Canmer, Ronnie Avery of Magnolia, Delbert Avery of Munfordville, George Avery(Tammy) of Canmer, Michael Asbury(Liz) of Canmer & Ricky Asbury of Munfordville
Six daughters-Barbara Pitcock of Munfordville, Joy Priddy of Bonnieville, Delores Faye Ramsey(Randall) of Cave City, Margie Gilpin of Canmer, Glenda Penick of Summersville & Brenda Avery(Bruce) of Summersville,
Numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren & great-great-grandchildren also survive.
Funeral services for Vera Gladys Avery will be 12noon Tuesday, August 10th in the chapel of Sego Funeral Home with burial in the Cub Run Cemetery. Visitation will be Monday from 3-8pm and will continue after 8am Tuesday at the Sego Funeral Home.
