Arthur Lloyd Raymer

Arthur Lloyd Raymer, 83, of Greenwood, IN passed away Thursday
June 10, 2021. Mr. Raymer was born September 13, 1937 in Huff, Kentucky to the late
Cova Wayne Raymer and Eula Francis Hardin Raymer. Lloyd attended Sunfish High School
and graduated from Kailua High School in Hawaii. A proud veteran, he also served his
country in the United States Marine Corps. He had been employed as an instructor
with Amtrak and retired after 30 years of service. Lloyd was an avid golfer and
served as a ranger at Shady Hollow Golf Course. He deeply loved his family and
cherished the moments they could spend together. Lloyd was a member of the Greenwood
Church of Christ. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister,
Loletta Rodgers.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral
Home with burial to follow in Cub Creek Cemetery; Visitation will take place 4-7 pm
Monday at Forest Lawn Funeral Home, 19977 S. State Road 135 in Greenwood and 10 AM-2
PM Wednesday at Gravil Funeral Home.Surviving are his loving wife, Catherine Faye
Minton Raymer; his children, Arthur Samuel Raymer (Laura), Anita Faye Raymer Hopper
and Michael Anthony Raymer; his grandchildren, Preston Davis Hopper, Nicholas Wayne
Raymer, Tasha Marie Raymer, Hannah Katherine Gayhart and Landon Jameson Raymer; a
great-grandchild, Kashton Davis Raymer, a sister, Lucille Self of Huff; and several
nieces and nephews.
