Rene L. Matthews, 49, of Cave City, Kentucky passed away Sunday, May 9, 2021 in Bowling Green, Kentucky. She was born March 17, 1972 in Glasgow, Kentucky to Lonnie Matthews and Nancy Lyons. Rene was a cashier at Cracker Barrel and she worked at McDonalds. Ms. Matthews was a member of Poplar Springs Baptist Church.
She is survived by her father, Lonnie Matthews (Pat); her mother, Nancy Lyons (Phil); one son, Brock Billingsley; two brothers, Randy Matthews (Kim) and Ryan Matthews (April); two nephews, Tres Matthews and Preston Matthews; and one niece, Kimber Matthews.
A graveside service will be held for Ms. Matthews 2:30 PM Saturday, May 15th at the Poplar Log Cemetery. A visitation will be held Saturday from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at A. F.
