Normal “Rookie” Walker, age 71, of Munfordville, KY, passed away Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was formerly employed by General Motors and a member of Friendship Baptist Church.
He was the son of the late Samuel Walker and the late Evelyn Payne Walker Golden. He was also preceded in death by a father-in-law George Howard.
He is survived by his best friend, former wife, sons’s mother and caregiver, Pamela Howard Walker; three sons, Adam Walker (Shelby), LaGrange, KY, Jacob Walker, Glasgow, KY, Harold Bethel (Gloria), Tioga, ND; nine grandchildren, Chesney, Cadee, Bubby, Jaylah, Caydrian, Aubree, Jaleigh, Harlee, Adlee; mother-in-law, Anna Howard; five sisters-in-law, Teresa Howard Carter, Tonya Howard, Felica Howard Rogers, Vanessa Howard, Shelby Howard; three brothers-in-law, Ronnie Howard, Mike Howard, David Howard; five nieces, Syntonia Day, LaToya Howard, Isabella Rogers, Gabrielle Rogers, Addison Day; five nephews, George M. Howard Jr., GeVaughn Howard, Alante Golden, Kashton Bowdre, Montez Davis; two brothers, Albert Walker, Fort Wayne, IN, Beldon Golden (Laurie), Las Vegas, NE.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Friday, April 23, 2021. Funeral service will be 11:00 AM, Saturday, April 24, 2021 at Brooks Funeral Home with Rev. Morris Jackson and Rev. Michael Moore officiating. Burial will be in the Horse Cave Cemetery Guthrie Street.
