The Glasgow Police Department has released a graphic and information about a proposed electric bike, and electric scooter ordinance in Glasgow.
The Glasgow City Council passed on first reading Monday night an ordinance pertaining to e-bikes and e-scooters. The second reading of the ordinance is scheduled for Oct. 12 at the council’s next meeting.
“The City of Glasgow is considering a new ordinance establishing safety and operating rules for e-bikes and e-scooters within the city,” the police department posted online.
The graphic provides an easy-to-read summary of the proposed rules so riders and parents can become familiar with them, the police department stated. “Please review and help us promote safe and responsible riding in our community.”
