Barren County leaders are preparing for a special-called Fiscal Court meeting Friday morning in Glasgow, with a mix of grant funding, tax incentives and major invoices on the agenda.

According to the meeting outline, magistrates are expected to begin with routine business, including approval of minutes from the Sept. 15, 2026, meeting.

The court will also be asked to approve the payment of claims as presented, authorize transfers of funds and sign off on personnel actions.

One of the headline items is ratification of a contract for the DTF Justice Assistance Grant Program totaling $114,545.

The agenda also calls for action on an agreement with Tate Access Floors Inc., described as a payment-in-lieu-of-taxes arrangement for state tax related to economic development.

In addition, the court is scheduled to consider approval of a lease for the Austin boat ramp with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers.

The proposed lease would formalize county access and use of the boat ramp area.

Several invoices are also listed for approval, including a $5,000 invoice from Community Medical Care and a $5,229.21 payment to Barren/Metcalfe E911.

Other bills include $7,062.55 from Thomas Oil and Fuel and Aramark invoices totaling $24,924.58.
