ames Terry Garrett, 80, of Edmonton, KY, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2026, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. He was born in Metcalfe County on January 16, 1946, to the late Ruel and Helen Fudge Garrett.
Terry attended Edmonton Worship Center and was a member of Edmonton Masonic Lodge #931. He was a proud Veteran having served in the United States Army. A dedicated and hardworking man, he most recently worked as a self-employed carpenter after spending years working in the pipeline industry. Terry also greatly enjoyed Metcalfe County sports and having breakfast with his morning crew, especially breakfast at the old school café.
Survivors include his wife Pam Anderson Garrett of Edmonton; two children Mike Garrett (Robin) of Georgetown and Jamie Garrett Howard (David) of Edmonton; one step daughter Lezlie Belcher Collins (Leon) of Tompkinsville; four grandchildren Brock Garrett, Savanah Garrett (Casey), Drew Howard and Carlie Howard; one step granddaughter River Jade Carter; Five great grandchildren; a host of friends also survive.
In addition to his parents, Terry is preceded in death by his second wife Janie Garrett.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at Jessie-Wilson Funeral Home with burial to follow in Metcalfe County Memorial Gardens with Military Honors provided by D.A.V. Chapter #20. Visitation will begin on Tuesday morning from 10:00am until 12:00pm. Masonic Rites service will be held at 12:00pm by Edmonton Masonic Lodge #931.
Bro. Johnny Hubbard and Bro. Larry Wisdom will be officiating, and serving as pallbearers will be Jeff Compton, Bryan Garrett, Chuckie Harper, Jarrod Steele, Randall Shive and Ed Peevler. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Bobby Fields, Dean Fields, Jody Curry, Johnny Thompson, Matt Gallagher, Gilbert Curry and Charles Wisdom.
In lieu of flowers the family request donations be sent to the Metcalfe County Animal Shelter or the Metcalfe Alumni Association in memory of Terry.
