Glen Bass, age 66, of Park City, departed this life on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at TJ Samson Community Hospital in Glasgow. A native of Gainesville, Florida, Glen was born on May 22, 1960, to the late Erwin Dean Bass and Dorothy Kirby Harverly.
Glen was a talented and hardworking mechanic who had a natural ability to figure things out and a gift for working with his hands. There was very little he could not fix or build, and he took pride in using his skills to bring things back to life or create something useful from the simplest of materials. He was a true hands-on person who enjoyed staying busy and could often be found working on a project, making repairs, or creating something from his own ideas. Outside of his work, Glen enjoyed the simple pleasures that brought him happiness. He loved fishing and spending time outdoors, as well as woodworking, where he could put his creativity and craftsmanship to use. He also had a special interest in searching for old glass bottles, enjoying the history and stories that seemed to come with each unique find.
He leaves to honor his memory— his children, Lisa Chatterjee of Lexington, SC, Elizabeth Bass of Park City, Chris Trulock (Olivia) of Macclenny, FL, and Amy Jenkins (Mike Nie) of Bowling Green; grandchildren, Macey Trulock, Brandon Gillespie, Brooklyn Logsdon, Madison Trulock, Rin Logsdon, Raylee Carroll, Christopher Trulock, Livvy Trulock, William Robert, Drake Logsdon, Dixie Trulock, and Emma Trulock; great-grandchildren, Amelia and Avery Self; and siblings, Dean Bass (Carol), Jimmy Bass (Bobby), and Elizabeth Gray (Perry). In addition to his parents, Glen was preceded in death by his sister, Brenda Sue Kirkland.
The family has chosen cremation, and a celebration of Glen’s life will be held at a later date.
