Wendell Earl Edwards, age 90, of Center, passed away on Sunday, May 03, 2026, at his daughter’s residence, surrounded by his loving family. He was a member of Rock Springs Baptist Church and was a lifelong farmer. Wendell loved spending time outdoors, hunting, and fishing. In his younger years, he did carpentry work and had a love for woodworking that carried on through his life.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mildred Parker Edwards, and his parents, Earl and Hazel Young Edwards.
He is survived by three children, Cheryl Edwards, Wynona Correll (Larry), and Wendy Gibson (Stevie); four grandchildren, Derek Harlow (Molly), Brandy Edwards, Whitley Gibson, and Reagan Gibson; five great-grandchildren, Mason Shirley, Colin Edwards, Emma Brown, Logan Harlow, and Carly Harlow; two step-grandchildren, Blair Correll and Madison Correll; two sisters, Berniece Chaney and Laverne Norris. Special pet companion, Angel.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, May 08, 2026, at Winn Funeral Home. Burial will follow the service at the Asbury-Center Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Thursday, May 07, 2026, from 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at Winn Funeral Home. Visitation will continue on Friday, from 9:00 AM until the time of the service at 1:00 PM.
